I paired this ammo #9 with an Indian Creek .665 as recommended by customer service. The pattern at 40+ yards is devastating. I've been hunting for 63 yrs.; and turkey for almost 50 yrs. The TSS recipe Apex has cannot be compared to ANY other brand. I know because I've wasted too much money following others recommendations. APEX, please do not change a thing, you're dialed in!

I couldnt figure out why anyone would pay $70.00 for a box of 5 shells when longbeard xr was half the price for double the shells and still killed them just fine. A few years ago I had a hard time finding the longbeard xr 3.5 #6 that I always shoot and then my the my boss let me shoot a TSS shell and I have not looked back since. I use the GT-3 #9 2.25 oz in my mossberg 535 with jebs 0.660 head hunter and I am confident in every shot I take. I have killed one at 15 yards and another at 41 yards with this ammo and neither flopped. This is the best ammo on the market and Apex has made a lifetime customer out of me.

Was given some of the 3” #9s on my first Turkey hunt. Dropped a huge mountain gobbler out of my RETAY duck gone with an M choke at 43 yards. He never even flinched. Total amazement. I’m hooked on both the APEX shells,and turkey hunting. Never would have guessed you could kill. Bird that big with#9 s.

I have been hunting turkey for 40 years and have never shot an ammo that is so effective. The knockdown power and range are far superior to anything else on the market. I used to strive for 6 bb's in the kill zone at 30 yds but this ammo produces over 40 bb's at 40 and can safely be shot over 50 yds. Simply amazing!

One of the most consistent patterning I've ever shot. Regardless of gun, guage, choke brand etc these shells just always has a good dense unfirom pattern! The only I've found they don't like and the pattern begins to blow out is being over choked. 560-565 max for a 20, 665-670 max for a 12 and 380-383 for a 410 is whatvive found works best. These shells are amazing!

Pattern is amazing with my Benelli M2 & Jebs .660 Headhunter. 733 pellets in a 10” circle at 40 yards. Outstanding load! I’m sold.

I have been using this round for six years now and have not missed out on a turkey since. I shot one at 70 yards and it died instantly.

Best turkey ammo ever. I’ve killed multiple grand slams with bow and gun and this ammo is the best. Awesome patterns and effective out to 60 yards with number 9 shot. Federal TSS is absolutely excellent but Apex is better.

This load is all that is needed and outperforms some competitors 3 1/2” TSS loads. When fired from my Mossberg 940 Turkey Pro and an Indian Creek .660” choke tube it will put more than half its 814 #9 Shot in a 10” circle at 40 yards. It is simply devestating when centered on a turkeys head or neck out to any range I have any business shooting a turkey. I’ve patterned this combo out to 80 yards and the pattern is still so dense a turkeys head and neck will not fit between the shot.

I have been hunting turkeys for almost 40years, primarily with lead and he I-shot. With the ammo shortage these were about all I could find and thought I’d give them a try. They are pricy but absolutely no regrets!!! Took 2 toms this year, one at 30 that never flopped and a second bird close to 60 yards. These loads absolutely smashed the toms head at that range, amazing performance!!!
If you think about all the time and effort trying to put a bird in the freezer, the performance of these loads is more than worth it!! As long as I can get these I won’t carry anything else turkey hunting!

I bought two boxes of 3'' 2 1/4 oz number 9's just before turkey season started. I was amazed to find them in stock so close to the season. Hats of to Apex for keeping shells in stock when so much ammo isn't. So far this season I'am 6 for 6 on spring gobblers. I travel and hunt in different states. If you are thinking about buying Apex shells, stop and just pull the trigger and get them. All I can say is WOW!! I also purchased 4 boxes of the 20 gauge 1 5/8 oz load. I have decided to put down the 12 and start with the 20. If they do as good as the 12 gauge load my shoulder will be happy. Not only are the shells the best I have shot they also give a military discount, and come in a great wooden box if you order enough. Thanks Apex.

Great Product! Bought a box of the 9’s to try, shipping was fast and the pattern was excellent. Just closed out my season with this shell and I am sold on the product! Keeping my eyes open for this shell and others to become available so I can stock up. You will not be disappointed with APEX!

I patterned a Browning A-bolt shotgun with a turkey choke at 60 yards with a 3" shell loaded with 9 shot. the pattern density astounded me. I felt very confident that I could kill a turkey at that distance. The first day of my season I shot a Tom at 59 yards. He fell over, flapped a little bit and died. I feel this is an outstanding load and will continue to use it.
